I wanted to have some light fittings changed to accept LED bulbs instead of 4-pin fluorescent fittings, to have some sockets replaced, and to have one socket moved to a more convenient location.
The company readily gave me a quote for this work and explained how the safety regulations affected the complexity of the job, and were completely open about what they would and would not do in terms of making good. The work was done promptly with minimal disruption, leaving everything clean and tidy, and a bulb that turned out to be faulty was replaced without hesitation. In the end I only needed to do some minor filling and painting and Im very happy with the job. The service, from quotation to completion, was professional and reliable and I would be happy to recommend them."

In this bizarre state of the country, I have been caught mid way through renovating an old cottage. With a daunting task of needing to order a large amount of lighting in Lockdown, there was one shop that went out of their way to be helpful, and supportive. Peter and Jean at Oxford Lighting Showroom have been a true lifeline and worth a visit to their showroom in Culham. From the outside you wonder if you are in the right place on an old airbase, but the welcome and knowledge opening the door are second to none. It is a genuine family run business with years of experience and expertise at their fingertips. The showroom is a treasure dome with examples of high to low-end lighting of every description. What they do not have in stock will be ordered within days. Viewing of products can be booked without pressure to buy. Advice on correct size of bulbs, the strength and kind of light you need will be discussed but you are simply given time to browse and enjoy. My order arrived within the week and I now feel I have the back up of a guru of electrical knowledge who I could phone or visit for the extra advice or information if I so need to in the future. I cannot recommend the company more highly and would return time and time again. Thank you for looking after me so well.

Oxford Lighting designed and fitted a new lighting system for us in our house and garden.
Peter and Laura were really helpful when we visited their showroom, listening to our requirements and making practical suggestions.
The quotation schedule was clear and detailed, and we were kept informed of progress on our order.
When a date for the work was set Peter and Jon the electrician came round to make sure that we were agreed on everything.
Fitting went very well and quickly, and Jon made sure that everything was left clean and tidy each day.
There was a small problem with one of the dimmers, and Peter was very helpful, coming round to assess the issue and solve it.
The final bill contained no surprises, and scheduled out everything that had been done in project, including the inevitable changes along the way.
We are very pleased with the final result, it is exactly what we had in mind, and has been much admired by visitors.
Oxford Lighting were helpful and friendly throughout, and I strongly recommend them for safe, reliable and stylish work.

Based in Abingdon near Oxford, MRS Magnetics, which is part of the MR Solutions group. MRS Magnetics develops and supplies bespoke super-conducting, cryogen free, magnets and gradient coils for a wide range of industrial applications such as rock core imaging and food research, and clinical and preclinical MRI.
MRS Magnetics used OLES to project manage the electrical installation of the new manufacturing facility in Abingdon Oxfordshire in mid-2016. This included the design and installation of factory LED lighting to ensure every area of the work space is well lit. OLES also installed single phase and three phase electrical supplies throughout the work areas as per our design requirements. We've since used OLES for a number of upgrades and alterations as required. OLES is our electrical contractor we use for general maintenance and electrical safety checks as required.
We are very pleased with the work OLES conducted here and will continue using them in the future.
